Feeding Method: Offer the Protein Plus™ pellets free-choice, allowing animals to consume at will, or use a gravity or trough-style feeder that is designed to protect the feed from the elements and ensure a consistent supply.
Optimal Feeding Months: For best results, provide Protein Plus™ pellets from February through August. This period coincides with critical stages of pregnancy, lactation, and antler growth when additional protein is most beneficial.
Intended Use: These pellets are formulated to be fed to deer, elk, and exotic deer species to supplement their natural forage and provide a high-quality source of additional protein.
Consumption Rates: Be aware that consumption will fluctuate throughout the year. Variables such as seasonal changes, the animals' nutritional needs, and the availability of natural food sources will influence how much supplemental feed is required.
Feed Maintenance: Regularly inspect the feed for signs of mold or infestation by insects. Do not offer any feed that shows signs of spoilage to prevent health issues in the wildlife consuming it.
Feeder Maintenance: Ensure feeders are cleaned periodically to prevent the buildup of old or wet feed, which can lead to mold and attract pests.
Storage: Keep unused pellets in a cool, dry location, away from direct sunlight and in a rodent-proof container to preserve their quality and nutritional value.
